The New Village School, an innovative new school in Sausalito, California, is looking for a teacher to join its current teaching team. The school currently has children from Kindergarten through 5th grade and is growing into a K-8th grade school in the next few years.

We are looking for a new colleague who can join us in building a healthy and nourishing program for children of all ages but who will help in particular with expanding our Kindergarten program.

The person we are looking for will need to have:
•    a college degree and a sound educational background
•    teaching experience and at least knowledge of and interest in the
•    educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner
•    a particular interest in the young child – Kindergarten and first - elementary school years
•    a passionate interest in children of all ages and their healthy development
•    a thorough knowledge of, and interest in current affairs
•    contemporary thought on education, social and environmental questions
•    a strong sense of humor
•    an ability to be flexible
•    an interest in creating & working in exciting & nourishing vacation programs for children of all ages
•    be excited by the idea of helping build and expand our exciting school
•    a love of the outdoors and an interest and preferably experience in the kind of education that takes place beyond classroom walls, be it in nature or in other locations
